Websites, blogs, podcasts, social networking: Today, options abound for culinary professionals to create your own content and increase your media presence. But in order to use food media like an expert, you have to understand what content works best for each of those venues and how you can create it. This session will provide an overview of all aspects of food media, from recipe writing to “Twittering,” and the skills they require. It will explore how you can best develop those skills, what you can do on your own, and when you need to call upon professionals to serve your media needs. You will learn about the importance of good writing and photographing, about the best websites to use to promote yourself and your business, and about the places where you can receive food media training.
